After nearly 100 miles on the previous day, we set out for part two of our Jeju cycling adventure. The west coast of the island is definitely beautiful and features loads of gorgeous natural scenery; it’s also a hell of a lot further, especially when your muscles are already sore from the day before. On the second day, we were joined by three more friends, making us a biker crew of seven. After an early start, many pit stops at the beach, light rain, a massive puncture, and loads of hills, we arrived home in Seogwipo that evening. I highly recommend cycling the coastal road to anyone who comes to Jeju… just make sure to where your sun screen.
Holy smokes that is some burnt/peeling forehead. I hope it’s healing nicely!
This is by far my favorite part of the island. you can really tell you’re having a great time there cycling.
I might just have to do this for my trip to Jeju next month! Being in the middle of nowhere always catches my attention.
We spent our honeymoon in the countryside on the west side of the island. Loved it there, so much beauty. Your cycling adventures sound so fun! I can’t do long distance on a bike, it’s just too painful with my big butt! haha
LOVE that sunset picture, wow.
This sounds like so much fun! I was in Jeju last summer, and now wish I had done some cycling. I am not surprised at the sunburn, it was sooooo hot when we were there, I think I wold have fried also. The Koreans were all driving around in rented cars as we sat waiting for the bus, nearly dying of heat stroke. Love Jeju!
Holy cow how awesome is this! I really want to do the Seoul to Busan tour but just am afraid I won’t have time. I will just have to live vicariously through you!
Man, your posts really show that I missed out on some cool things while on Jeju. Loved the little spots I found while on a scooter but your bike rides are really showing me up! Thanks for sharing!
Nice photos. Oh that burn though! Does Korea use aloe vera as an after sun treatment? I’ve yet to be burned in Korea so I’m curious what you used to help
There is aloe vera here, and I utilized it greatly after that trip ? Korea is great with skin care products.
I was just thinking how amazing that sunset picture was, then BAM! Sunburn picture. Yikes. . Hope you had some aloe!
Great photos! I love that POV shot on the bike! Really pretty! And ouch, hope your head heals fine! I imagine Koreans would shudder that you let the sun do that to you hahaa
