Ever since moving to Jeju, I’ve wanted to check out Manjanggul Cave.  Jeju was formed from a series of volcanic activity, making the island covered in beautiful black rock.  I love the coast here, but this time I wanted to go a bit deeper…literally.  The lava tunnel at Manjanggul Cave is one of the largest in the world and, even though only a certain section of it is open for viewing, I thought it’d be worth the hour and a half bus ride from my town.  I sure wasn’t disappointed.  Although it’s a popular tourist destination, as its UNESCO ranked, I enjoyed wandering through the tunnel for an hour; however, I was lucky and it wasn’t too crowded then.  If you’re ever around northeast Jeju, stop by and check it out.  If you don’t enjoy it, you’re only out a dollar.
