Recently, I learned that the reason sunsets are (subjectively) more beautiful when accompanied by beaches is because of the high concentration of oceanic salt particles in the air.  These particles scatter shorter wavelengths of light, creating the august reds and oranges that we all adore so much.  While roadtripping in Okinawa, I got the chance to see hundreds of kilometers of beautiful East China Sea coastline.  The best part about this? The ever-changing colors of the sky.  As I went during typhoon season, each day saw a storm.  While many people would be dismayed by this, it actually turned out in my photographic favor.  I thought I was spoiled with the sunsets that I get to witness while living on Jeju Island, but the Okinawan dusks gave my current home a run for its money.

What’s the most beautiful sunrise/sunset you’ve ever seen? Is it possible to narrow it down to just a single one?
