A few months ago, a man named Ric Gibbs from Xpedition.TV contacted J asking to collaborate with him on a short film. He enjoyed both our adventures and our story together and thought that we could bring some inspiration to others. For many weeks, they’ve been working together using our footage from the road and, finally, we can release a short teaser for the movie, “Tom Sawyer on the Danube”. The film depicts our adventures hitchhiking across Europe, cycling, and rafting the Danube together, and tells the story of two people and how their lives became intertwined.
I’ll be sure to let you know when the full film is released- hopefully, this will be at several film festivals, so wish us luck!
In the meantime, check out J’s new book, “The Boy Who was Afraid of the World“.
As I already wrote on Jamies blog post:
Kudos to everyone involved! The teaser already indicates quite some compelling storytelling indeed…
Has the full film been released yet? If so, where can I find it?
I came across your blog while researching tips on being a vegetarian in various countries. I have read both yours and J’s blogs almost in their entirety and I must say you guys have really truly been an inspiration.
My one-way ticket has already been purchased to take me away from this standard american routine that so many people think is necessary. I am stoked that I found your stories while “planning” my no-plan adventure… it has given me some peace of mind to know I can do it too.
thank you! love & light <3
Wow! That’s amazing! Good for you. The film hasn’t been released, as the producer had some last minute “creative qualms” and wanted to change some stuff to make it better. I will keep everyone posted about it.
Have the best time on your adventure. Where are you off to first?
